Final Outcome
Copywriting/Storytelling:
Our team found out that Google has its own SignWriting typeface - Noto Sans Signwriting.
We decided to showcase this unique type that is rarely acknowledged and create a social campaign around how it can serve to bridge the gap between the deaf and the hearing.
We hope that our typographic campaign will initiate the conversation on deafness and sign language. We believe that even the smallest amount of effort and deaf awareness can contribute to breaking down communication barriers.
Poster:
1 in 5 Britons felt nervous when they talk to deaf people due to their little awareness of how to communicate. We wanted to address this through our key quote - “Happy to talk nonverbally!”. Dark blue was chosen by the World Federation of the Deaf and Deaf associations around the World to represent Deafhood hence our main colour palette.
